Family Child Care Start-up Certification: Entry level training for individuals
who want to operate a licensed child care facility in their home.

recordkeeping techniques to save money.

Developing a Family Child Care Contract: Learn to prepare a simple
written agreement between parents and providers.

Family Child Care/Center Continuing Education (former 12-Hour
Re
newal Certification): For current licensed providers that need to fulfill their
continued training requirements.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS): This workshop is mandatory for all
licensed providers with Infants and Toddlers in their care.

45-Hour
Infant/Toddler Course: Required for positions in an Infant/Toddler
program.

45-Hour School-Age Program (Before and After School Age): Required
for Group Leader position in a B&A program.

Registration hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Workshops can be held at your site or at
CMS during the day (Nappers), evenings, and weekends.
Registration Information and Business Practices:
CMS office hours are from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. To pre-register, please call our Training
Coordinators at 301-203-7648. Due to limited seating and class preparation, walk-ins are not permitted. We encourage
you to pre-register early. Please make note of the date and time of your class
because you will not receive a reminder call.

For DC workshops only:
If you are registering for a group of people, you must
fax printed or typed names of participants to CMS in order to be placed on the
registration list (301-203-7628). Include the center's name,
participant's name, contact person and phone number. For
your convenience you can print a registration form directly from your
browser (Click
Here). When you see the form, click the Printer Icon
typically
located along the top toolbar of your browser. |
Payments: Registration and payments must be received at least five
(5) business days before the first class. Payments will not be accepted at the door.
If you have any questions please call
Childcare Management Solutions. Seating is limited so please register
early. We accept VISA, MC, Check Cards or money orders only. Personal checks
and cash are not
accepted. Please have your credit card Info ready when you call to pre-register.

Arrival Time:
Participants should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to class. Anyone arriving after class has
begun will not be allowed to enter and may reschedule the class.
This policy is suggested by the Child Care Administration of the Department of Human Resources and CMS
must adhere to it. NOTE: Only registered
participants may attend these adult workshops. Children and other guests are not allowed.
| Cancellation
Policy - If you are unable to attend class, please
call and inform CMS at 301-203-7648. It is the
responsibility of the participant to call and reschedule a class. For
your convenience you may leave a voice message 24
hours a day or Fax your cancellation (301-203-7628).
Please remind your
staff members to arrive on time.
Late arrivals will not be allowed to attend workshops
or receive a certificate. Refunds will not be issued
for late arrivals or no shows. Participants are allowed 30 days to make up a class. If
the class is not rescheduled and taken within 30 days, or
the next available date, the participant will need to re-register and pay again. No refunds.
CMS reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient registration and receipt of payments. |
